There is always plenty going on in St Martin's, whether it's our variety of services on Sundays, or the range of meetings offered during the week, such as our youth groups, small groups and prayer ministries.
We also have a passion for reaching our community with the love of Jesus and more often than not, that's where you'll find us... in the local Primary schools with Open the Book or leading the Christian Union at the Secondary school; visiting people who are unable to attend church and sharing communion with them; showing the latest family films in our long-standing (and free!) SMART Film Club; staffing a "pay as you feel" pop-up 'junk food' cafe; chatting and praying with locals and visitors at our stand at the Liskeard Show; and running our popular ABC babies and children's group... besides many other outreach projects.
One thing you will quickly discover about us is that not only do we love Jesus, we also love fun... and food!
We hold a number of social events throughout the year - the best-known is the much-loved annual "Notivity", penned by our lead youth worker, Pete Morgan, which runs over two nights in mid-late December. Each year we are treated to a fresh interpretation of the Nativity story told in rhyme and song - this is free to attend (donations to the foodbank) and is always a lot of fun. In the Summer we enjoy our BBQ Praise service - a short praise service held in our lower car park coupled with a BBQ feast! We also hold Skittles nights twice a year as well as a number of other events and, of course, our seasonal Church Fayres. Keep an eye on the notice sheet and calendar for dates and venues!
