Happy September. How was the summer?
This summer has been hot and busy. For those of us who went to Creation Fest, it was great to have nearly 40 of us camping together and sharing ministry. We are looking forward to how Creation Fest will be developing and impacting the local church, so do join us in prayer.
We have also seen the Hall speed up in phase two with many windows and heating coming in, a highlight was seeing a builder’s head just appearing from the floor! Please do join us on Saturday 26th 2pm-4pm to come and pray and celebrate the new season of the Hall.
We also saw many children coming to our holiday club and Presence in the park and seeing them learn so much about God. I personally loved joining the Open the Book team one day and a glimpse of the joy the Open the Book team bring to our School children. We also saw our intern Hannah Smith not only get pied in the face but sending her off to her next place of ministry down in Illogan. We will miss her, and she also leaves gaps for the youth and children’s team, so please do pray.
There has been a common theme: prayer. This aligns with our year of prayer. If you remember, our vision for this year is:
“Creating a culture and people of prayer”
That is why we are excited for these first few weeks of September, when we are joining the 24/7 Prayer movement in their GLOBAL WEEK OF PRAYER.
Global Week of 24-7 Prayer – 24-7 Prayer International
Enclosed is all that we shall be doing over the week. Please do join us in prayer. The 24 hours of prayer come and do a few hours or 6! Come and join us in some of our prayer walks. We are also going to be joined on the Friday night by team who are walking the Saint’s Way and spending day on Friday to join in with some of the ministry like prayer tent and then join us Friday night prayer night with Churches together, and then Saturday morning. We are looking for people to offer them lunch on Friday and tea on Friday evening in the lower Hall; let us know it is for about 8 people. There hope is to come and join in mission and prayer.
This is our hope for September to put our foundations in prayer, and what better time to be launching our next Alpha course starting on Wednesday 23rd September starting in Church (this may move to Hall)

As us to simply go deep in prayer, to get dirty (Messy) in prayer and to keep devoted in prayer. For when we do this, we see God move and change us. What might God be asking of us as a Church and asking of you?
